WinG on OHS Macroeconomics

WinG on OHS Macroeconomicswill focus on a specific area of OHS Economics and will be structured to provide certain results. It will not be an open conference; leading OHS Economics researchers (mainly those participated in the 1st Conference) will be invited to contribute in certain topics.

The 2nd WinG will be held in the town of Sandanski (to the south of Blagoevgrad), Bulgaria with the period April 15-16, 2010. SWUNR will take over the preparation of all aspects of WinG hosting (venue, accommodation, dinners, etc.). In collaboration with ATEITH, SWUNR will define the final round tables after participations will have been defined. Round tables are expected to include 20 leading researchers whose travel expenses will be covered by the project.

The general directions of research will be:

  • Impact of changes in labour force structure (ageing, increase of female employment, etc.) and relation to quality of employment.
  • Impact of changes in economy (shifting to less labour-intense sectors, international competition, new forms of employment, etc.)
  • Measuring economic impact of occupational accidents and diseases in national level (agreement of common principles for measuring costs).
  • Impact of regulation (legislation, insurance systems, equal opportunities, etc.)
  • Cost internalisation (the case of the State)

Each round table will produce a brief report that will be handed to ROWER. These reports will be further processed to be embedded in the Repository.
